The DICOM PACS Server is a compact system with capacity for over 300.000 patient cases. In principle, the number of connected viewing stations is unlimited, with connections made via standard LAN. Risk of data loss is prevented through a RAID5 disk system, and optionally by a network drive (see DBS). The DPS is compatible with all DICOM 3.0 and NEMA 2 modalities (CT, MR, NM, US, XA, MG and CR).
An optional version for rack mounting in a standard 19” computer rack is available, including keyboard and monitor in rackmount version.
The DPS server can be delivered with a VPN router to enable VPN Client to Gateway connections which will make it possible for physicians at home to access the PACS server, located in the hospital, via a safe internet connection. Also this router is capable of establishing a so-called Gateway to Gateway connection to setup a safe encrypted connection between two (or more) different hospitals all over the world. A total 20 VPN tunnels can be programmed in the router. The server will be connected to several workstations and image modalities in the hospital and for that reason also a 16 port gigabit switch is part of the standard delivery.

DVS Basic Single monitor Dicom Viewing Station
The Dicom Viewing Station is the main workstation for physicians to study patient cases stored in the PACS server. All commonly used DICOM viewing tools are available. Searching for patient cases can be done in different ways, e.g., patient ID, patient name, examination date, etc. Case reports can be edited and also stored in the patient file in DICOM format. CD/DVD burning is a standard function and image and/or report printing at a central DICOM printer (DPP) can be done.

DVS Pro Single monitor Dicom Viewing Station with 3D viewer
The Pro version of the DVS has two major improvement aspects compared to the Basic version. First at all the Radiant DICOM viewer with 3D and MPR (Multiplanar Reconstruction) is installed additional to the standard CRCB-PACS viewer. As radiologists often need to write diagnostic reports including also (part of) the medical images, Microsoft Office is a standard tool on this version of the DVS.

Data backup

To assure maximum data security, the Data Backup System gives a secondary data storage option which can be connected to the LAN in any part of your facility, at a safe distance from the PACS server. Installing the backup system at a different location can help to ensure that data will be protected, even in the case of, for example, a fire in one part of the facility. Updates from the PACS server are made automatically.
At a certain moment the storage of the PACS server and data backup unit will be almost completely filled. At that time a second DBS should be connected to the network and assigned in the PACS server as the new backup location. The main storage of the server can then be deleted as all data is still available at DBS 1. Patient cases stored at DBS 1 can be reloaded to the PACS server easily in case a radiologist needs that for further study.
RIS Radiology Information System
The Radiology Information System gives the hospital a tool to control and document all the work per patient. All relevant patient demographics are brought into the system at the reception desk and automatically sent to the right modality via the HL7 compatible link.
At installation of the RIS in the hospital the system will be configured completely to fit to the organizational structure of the radiology department and to the requirements of the end users.
The RIS server will be installed in the PACS server system, or if not available, in the PC as shown in the picture. Operation of the RIS by end users can be done from any terminal, like our workstations or the above shown RIS workstation throughout the hospital via the PACS LAN.

Film Digitizer Medi 6000 Plus
The Medi-6000 Plus film digitizer allows to digitally scan and store the images of the existing conventional x-ray films. It is designed to deliver high image quality combined with fast scanning. In as little as 12 seconds a 35 x 43 cm film can be digitized at 300 dpi resolution. A DICOM workstation with special software is provided to scan films and store image files at the PACS server.

The DICOM Paper Print solution is ideal for radiology departments with digital imaging equipment but still using expensive digital film. With DPP, you print your images on standard paper in A3 or A4 format. In combination with high quality paper, the result is a printed image that feels like a classical film, with the benefit of absolute white (paper) and almost absolute black (toner) and at a price level of less than 20% of digital film.

The DWS is our mini PACS system and the ultimate solution for small clinics and hospital departments needing an electronic patient archive. With DWS you can store over 10.000 patient files, study cases at the 24” monitor in 2MP resolution and copy patient files to CD/DVD. DICOM paper printing is integrated to produce the high quality A3 or A4 print outs. Image storage is done on a second SSD to guarantee maximum reliability.
