The DICOM PACS Server is a compact system with capacity for over 300.000 patient cases. In principle, the number of connected viewing stations is unlimited, with connections made via standard LAN. Risk of data loss is prevented through a RAID10 disk system, and optionally by a network drive (see DBS). The DPS is compatible with all DICOM 3.0 and NEMA 2 modalities (CT, MR, NM, US, XA, MG and CR).
An optional version for rack mounting in a standard 19” computer rack is available, including keyboard and monitor in rackmount version.
The DPS server can be delivered with a VPN router to enable VPN Client to Gateway connections which will make it possible for physicians at home to access the PACS server, located in the hospital, via a safe internet connection. Also this router is capable of establishing a so-called Gateway to Gateway connection to setup a safe encrypted connection between two (or more) different hospitals all over the world. A total 20 VPN tunnels can be programmed in the router.

The Dicom Viewing Station is the main workstation for physicians to study patient cases stored in the PACS server. All commonly used DICOM viewing tools are available. Searching for patient cases can be done in different ways, e.g., patient ID, patient name, examination date, etc. Case reports can be edited and also stored in the patient file in DICOM format. CD/DVD burning is a standard function and image and/or report printing at a central DICOM printer (DPP) can be done.

Data backup

To ensure maximum data security, the Data Backup System provides a secondary storage solution that can be connected to the LAN anywhere within your facility, ideally at a safe distance from the PACS server. This strategic placement helps safeguard your data in the event of unforeseen incidents, such as a fire in one part of the facility. The system automatically syncs with the PACS server to keep data up to date.
Eventually, the storage capacity of both the PACS server and the data backup unit will approach its limit. At that point, a second DBS can be added to the network and designated as the new backup location within the PACS server settings. This allows the main server storage to be cleared, as all data remains securely stored on DBS 1. In the event that a radiologist requires access to patient cases for further study, data stored on DBS 1 can be easily reloaded onto the PACS server.
RIS Radiology Information System
The Radiology Information System (RIS) provides hospitals with a comprehensive tool to manage and document all patient-related workflows. Relevant patient demographics are entered into the system at the reception desk and automatically transmitted to the appropriate modality via the HL7-compatible link.
During installation, the RIS is fully configured to align with the radiology department's organizational structure and tailored to meet the specific needs of end users.
The RIS server will be installed within the PACS server system, or, if necessary, on a standalone PC, as shown in the picture. End users can access and operate the RIS from any terminal, such as our workstations or the dedicated RIS workstation, throughout the hospital via the PACS LAN.

The DICOM Paper Print (DPP) solution is perfect for radiology departments that rely on digital imaging equipment but are still using costly digital film. With DPP, you can print high-quality images on standard A3 or A4 paper. The DWS is our compact mini PACS system, designed as the ideal solution for small clinics and hospital departments in need of an efficient electronic patient archive. With the DWS, you can store over 10,000 patient files, view study cases on a 24” monitor with 2MP resolution, and easily burn patient files to CD/DVD. It also includes integrated DICOM paper printing for producing high-quality A3 or A4 prints. For added reliability, image storage is supported by a second Solid State Drive.
