CRCB-PACS COMPLETED AND FUTURE PROJECTS IN NICARAGUA, UNDER CONTRACTS WITH OUR PARTNERS VAMED AND MAKIBER

In the latest years the Nicaraguan government, with the credit support of international financing institutions, has been putting a lot of efforts in improving the health care in the country. Several hospitals and clinics have been built or are under constructions. Two international companies, the Austrian VAMED and the Spanish MAKIBER have been selected in the bidding processes for the construction and equipment of some of the hospitals. CRCB-PACS is proud of being selected to provide the PACS Systems to these companies and projects.

Completed Projects

Hospital de la Mujer Bertha Calderón in Managua

In 2017, the Nicaraguan Ministry of Health inaugurated the modern Emergency and Radiology building at the Bertha Calderón Women's Hospital. VAMED was responsible for the construction and equipment and subcontracted CRCB-PACS for the installation of the PACS System and two viewing rooms with 4 working stations to process ultrasound and mammography images, as well as tomography studies.

Hospital Manolo Morales in Managua

In 2019 under a contract with VAMED, CRCB-PACS installed the PACS System in the new annex building of Manolo Morales Peralta Hospital in Managua. With this new building, the hospital expanded its radiology and emergency services.

The CRCB-PACS system enables the seamless integration, secure storage, robust backup, and dynamic visualization of images and studies originating from three ultrasound machines, one X-ray device, one CT scanner, and one MRI. This advanced system significantly streamlines and enhances the diagnostic processes for healthcare professionals, including doctors and radiology specialists. Furthermore, it features a dedicated viewing room equipped with four workstations and extends access to ten viewing stations situated across various consulting rooms and halls, further optimizing clinical workflows.

Each year, the PACS System processes around 30,000 ultrasound images, 50,000 X-rays, 12,000 CT scans, and 5,000 MRI scans.
